Lima is Peru’s capital and largest city. With a population of 9 million it is the fourth largest city in the entire Americas! Founded by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro on January 18, 1535 and provided with its kingly name, Ciudad de los Reyes, Lima is a hive of activity essential for any Peruvian explorer!

This tour combines both the main historical sites of Peru with a full sample of the countries gastronomical treasures as our expert local guides will guide you around the city and take you to their favorite eateries.

Day 1: Lima

Reception at Jorge Chavez International Airport and private transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Lima

Breakfast. Starting the morning with a City tour of the principal attractions combining the colonial, modern and an excellent gastronomic sample.  Visit to the historical centre, residential neighborhoods, archaeological sites, main avenues and viewpoint opposite the Pacific Ocean. Beginning this special gastronomical tour with a delicious lunch at the Restaurant Señorío de Sulco which recuperates all the expression of Peruvian gastronomy in a buffet and also a selection of ¨cebiches¨ (marinated raw fish).  After lunch, transfer to the hotel.

At night transfer to Restaurant Huaca Pucllana located in front of the pre-inca temple, where there will be different dishes that will surprise the most demanding eaters.

Day 3: Lima

Breakfast. Morning begins with a Tour to The Gold Museum, which exhibits a large number of gold and silver pieces, gems of the Pre-Hispanic cultures and weapons of diverse epochs.

Transfer to Restaurant Wa Lock, one of the best examples of the ¨chifa¨ or Chinese-Peruvian cooking, with 200 different dishes that are constantly renewed.

Evening visit to the Inca Market, where the colors, shapes and diverse materials are assembled in a varied sample of creations where you can see the workmanship of the heirs of the Inca Empire.  Transfer to hotel.

At night you can enjoy the perfect combination between the Mediterranean cuisine and the most traditional Peruvian flavours in Restaurant La Cofradía or similar, whose entrees, pastas and meats are famous.
